A first of it's kind in the industry - A 200-page novel featuring: exclusive insight into the creation of each song from The Amazons' 4th record '21st Century Fiction'; photography by Jessica Greaves, Bryce Glenn, Lauren Luxenberg, George Le Page and myself documenting the album's creative process; guitar tabs, including hand written lyrics and chords for every song on the record.

In the absence of sleeve notes, lyric books and album booklets in the era of streaming - The Amazons present the ultimate companion piece for their latest album '21st Century Ficiton'.

After finally landing on the concept for the album cover, the band and I predictably saw an opportunity to bring the book that features on said cover into reality - however, the dilemma of what its contents would be prevented this.
As we continued to release singles for the album (with cover are featuring books from the same 'series' as '21st Century Fiction'), I began to experiment with the production and manufacture of novels at a printing house in the UK.

It started with Living A Lie, which was filled front to back with the lyrics from the song repeated for 200 pages. Then Night After Night and Pitch Black, which featured some photos that surprisingly printed very well. And finally, Love Is A Dog From Hell, which successfully held printed tabs, lyrics and chords. Once the limits of this new medium had been defined, I got to work curating and creating the final version that is now available for purchase at https://www.theamazons.co.uk/

A true labour of love - not only for 21st Century Fiction itself, but for the friends, family and fans who have rallied to make this album a reality.
